I have had a fellow Democrat comment on one of my social media page posts that he would not vote for Bernie Sanders because Sanders is not a Democrat.
It is unfortunate that there are some people who refuse to consider a politician based on some label, even though Bernie has always caucused with Democrat’s and is running as a Democrat.
I generally vote a straight Democrat ticket, not because I am philosophically tied to the party, but because they are the Firewall against Corporatist and Bankster Oppression. While not always the best Firewall, the Democrats have always been the only viable choice.
I am happy that Bernie Sanders has garnered so much support that for the first time in a century an Independent minded candidate has a serious chance of winning the Presidency.
