The real question is why it has taken better than thirty years to begin a serious discussion of a return to the moon?! There are many theories as to why we have not returned, especially if one is into conspiracies (Dark Mission being one of the more interesting conspiracy theory books on the subject.) I will not swim in those waters today but, the problem with theories is that they are just that, theory. While many scoff at the more extreme of the conspiracy theories, the truth is NASA has brought all of this down upon it self. How can NASA battle the bad press and the critics when it was NASA that created the environment that fomented the situation?

I am usually never without something to say, however, lately I can not get a handle on what I want to blog about. There is a lot in the news with Balloon Boy, some interesting medical, space, and archeological news yet I have not decided what to write about. Maybe after I get some rest I will have something interesting to say by the end of the weekend. If not, then not.

When I opened Dan Brown’s “Lost Symbol” to find the quote: “To live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books.” I smiled a heartfelt smile. Education has been so very important to me and I always strive to learn more.
I Rediscovered Linux

I am a PC guy and a Windows guy and have been for over 20 years, however, things change. When I wear my design engineer hat I design microcontroller devices. These are small computer like electronics that have software in them. Much of the electronics world today is dominated with microcontroller devices, µC is the common designator or acronym for these devices which generally refers to the chip but can be used to describe the whole device. They are small, fast, easy to design and program and can be designed to do anything on a budget. My designs are used all over the continental U.S. controlling Tower Clocks.
